General Summary: Responsible for the general upkeep of campus buildings and property. Serves as the point of contact for facilities maintenance and repair work. Performs minor repairs as necessary and coordinates other repairs and maintenance with service contractors. Assists Facilities Manager with safety inspections and security monitoring.


Principal Accountabilities:


Outdoor Grounds Care:

  • Keep front visitor entrances and parking garage clear of leaves and debris.
  • Tidy patio areas and make sure they are free from any debris and that patio furniture is functional and clean.
  • Move seasonal outdoor furniture as required.
  • Coordinate landscaping and snow plowing vendors.
  • Clear up trash from yard and lawn areas for all buildings.
  • Manage yard trash disposal and keep trash areas and yards clean.

General Maintenance:

  • Respond to service requests for maintenance from corporate office and shops.
  • Assist shops with projects as required to help manage shop space and storage.
  • Keep shop yards clear of debris and to take responsibility for trash and recycling areas.
  • Assist with setting up furniture configurations for training rooms and other office functions.
  • Manage the records storage areas and arrange for records to be shredded annually as needed.

Office/Vendor Relations:

  • Coordinate service and repairs with outside contractors.
  • Coordinate activities of skilled trades workers engaged in maintaining and repairing buildings and grounds.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from office personnel.
  • Coordinate and arrange for shredding service.

Description of physical and technical work environment:


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
  • Climbing ladders to perform work.
  • Reaching overhead, above shoulder, or horizontally to perform tasks.
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 75lbs.

Technical Requirements:

  • Transporting to other corporate locations as necessary to complete work.
  • Work independently without supervision and follow company protocols.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Basic comprehension of computer skills and technology.
  • Great customer service skills when interfacing with staff and vendors.
  • Must be competent with handling light maintenance tasks as required.

Education

High school diploma

Current driver's license (CDL Preferred)
